21CC Group has appointed industry veteran Phil O’Halloran, formerly Managing Director of NL Productions, as its new Production Director in a move the company describes as a major step in its strategic growth.
O’Halloran brings an extensive track record in delivering large-scale creative events, having led NL Productions through a management buyout and establishing it as a market leader in lighting, sound, AV, staging and rigging services across Scotland. He played a pivotal role in high-profile projects including The Enchanted Forest, and the Halloween and Christmas installations at Edinburgh Zoo, where he managed complex visual productions under challenging logistical conditions. He also produced Monteviot Lights, the first-ever winter light trail in the Scottish Borders, combining creative lighting design with immersive storytelling.
In his new role, O’Halloran will oversee all technical production operations at 21CC Group, aligning creative vision with technical delivery to maintain what the company describes as its “exceptionally high standards of craftsmanship and innovation”.
Geoff Crow, Managing Director of 21CC Group, said: “Phil’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for 21CC Group. His industry leadership, technical expertise and proven track record in delivering complex, creative projects make him the perfect person to take our production offering to the next level.”
O’Halloran said he was “thrilled” to be joining the company. “The team’s creativity, ambition and expertise are truly inspiring, and I look forward to turning our shared vision into world-class, impactful events,” he said.
He takes up the post this week, based at the company’s Bathgate headquarters, and will be involved in projects across the UK and internationally.
